It may cause addiction

There have been reports of modafinil addiction, but the risks associated with this new drug are relatively low. It is known to cause sleepiness and decrease wakefulness, which may be detrimental side effects. This new drug acts on the brain similarly to other drugs such as cocaine, methamphetamine, and Ritalin. However, some researchers have questioned the safety of the drug and have suggested that it may cause addiction.

Though modafinil is not as addictive as cocaine or methamphetamines, it may still have a high potential for addiction. It has the same effect on the dopamine-producing centers of the brain as drugs like cocaine, amphetamines, and marijuana. It may be equally addictive as these other substances because it causes the brain to produce higher levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine, which is associated with euphoria.

The drug Modafinil Modalert, also known as Provigil, is a prescription stimulant that may help you stay awake during the day. The drug was approved for use in 1998 to treat narcolepsy and excessive daytime sleepiness associated with OSA. It has also been used to treat other sleep disorders including shift work, Parkinson’s disease, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Although it has been approved for a variety of purposes, it is not a cure for sleep disorders.

However, modafinil may also cause cross-tolerance with other benzhydryl nootropics, including eugeroic compounds.

This effect of modafinil is similar to that of amphetamines. It encourages physical activity by suppressing appetite. It may cause involuntary muscle movements like clenching or teeth grinding. While this effect is less severe than the effects of traditional stimulants, it is still notable. In addition, it may cause temporary visual intolerance. The drug may also cause increased appreciation of music. This study is not conclusive, and more research needs to be done to confirm its safety and effectiveness.

It may be habit-forming

While modafinil hasn’t been proven to be habit-forming, it can develop into a dependency.
